This is the first in a new line of fruited sour ales that we plan to release over the next few months. Anareta was fermented in oak with a house mixed culture and then transferred onto blueberries in a mix of oak puncheons and used bourbon barrels, where it continued to age for a number of months before it was blended and bottled. This new line of beers will incorporate photo-based labels and the photo for Anareta was taken by our brewer, Seth @ffrighttrainz

Poured at Shelton Festival, cloudy light purple with medium pinkish white head. The aroma is strong berry, oak funk. Medium body, jammy berry, oak, nice tartness, very good.

Bottle at Black Christmas 2017
Cloudy with some head. Cheese and berry aroma. Sour, nice berries flavor, hint of cheese too, though.
Messy. Not a fan.

750mL bottle, pours a cloudy earthy orangey amber with a small beige head. Aroma brings out oak, tart fruits and light acidity. Flavour is along the same lines, with earthy notes, oak, and tart red fruits. A bit earthy and muffled, but really nicely constructed overall. Good stuff.

A pour from the bottle on Black Christmas V. Pours a bit hazy golden with no head. Aroma is funky and fruity with some oak notes. Sinilar taste with berry notes. Moderate to high acidity. Pleasant.

Tap. Purple color with small pink head. Aroma is blueberry cake, cookie, lactic acid. Taste is blueberry cream, lacto, wood, tannic. Sour finish. Medium carbonation. A bit too American for me to be a real gem.

Bottle pour at Shelton Brothers. Pretty magenta color with a small pink head. Musty basement and blueberry nose with raspberry and vanilla coming out as it warms. Light oakiness on the palate. Smooth, but also some nice acidity. Fruit forward with some lingering cobweb mustiness. Very good.

Draft pour at the Holy Mountain release party. A beautiful, glowing purpleish color with a disappearing head. A full mixed berry aroma. Blueberry the headliner, mostly because I know its advertised that way. Thicker body, tart berry and watermelon. A juicy, mellowing tart, but stays away from being sweet. A very nice fruit presentation in a sour here overall. Well executed. Very good stuff.
