Our backdrop Porter celebrates traditional porter flavours but lightens it up just a bit for more all around the clock drinking! Coffee, slightly chocolaty and the hops all help to make this lighter bodied porter pop out, Blacktop Porter's little brother with similar feeling but even better drinkability. This one's boosted and cold-brewed with organic vanilla and Vietnamese coffee. Hops: Magnum, Willamette.

Canned (thanks Laura!). Black colour, small brown head. Aroma is coffee, toffee, some sweet malts, and some wet ashy tones. Flavour is ashy, some coffee, wet ashes and mild earthy notes. Not very smooth as for the flavour.

(Can, 0.44 l - canned on 12.02.2021 - BB 12.02.2022, from the brewery, 20210430) The beer poured black. Its head medium sized, lightly brown and it disappeared rather quickly. Aroma had burnt malts, vanilla, coffee and lightly ash. Palate was medium bodied with medium carbonation. Flavours were burnt malts, ash, coffee, vanilla, grass and bitterness. Aftertaste had coffee, vanilla and bitterness. A decent burnt brew with adjuncts.

440ml can. Smooth, watery and slightly ashy with hints of coffee, chocolate, cocoa, powdery vanilla and earthiness. A bit sweetish finish. Decent, quite easy going but a bit light bodied.
