Lovely looking deep dark brown, near black, with a creamy tan head and a milk chocolate and roasted malt aroma. Smooth and creamy, chocolate notes, a hint of coffee bitterness with a roasted malt background, finishes dry and slightly bitter.

Cask, third pint, @Alexandra Hotel, Derby (UK). 17/02/2023. [#5.904 Global - #676 England - #1 Bang the Elephant Brewing (My English brewery #228)] Pours almost black with a thin tan head. Aroma: coffee beans, roasted malts and licorice. Taste: lot of licorice and coffee beans. Very nice coffee forward porter. Drinkable and balanced. Next one please!

Cask at the Nottingham Beer Festival 2021. Deep almost black colour with a thin tan head. Aroma and taste are Malty chocolate and slight coffee. Bitter to slight sweet taste. Medium body.
