An amber coloured session bitter traditionally brewed using only the finest quality of Stonehenge Spring Water, barley, crystal and wheat malts, whole hops and the brewery’s own top-fermenting yeast. This session bitter is full-bodied and not so bitter, but rich in hop aroma which gives the beer a delightful aftertaste. The finish is slightly malty and fruity.

Clear amber color, steady foamy white head. Caramel, menthol, toffee, leafy hops in the nose. Quite light palate (yes, only 4%). Hard toffee-candyish flavor dominates with Earl Grey and banana notes. Harsh finish (some oranges) and mostly watery aftertaste.

Cask Conditioned at Market Porter, London
Light amber color. Nice aroma, toffee, cookies. The flavor is less interesting, light caramel, a bit stale, flat (and it’s not the carbonation), no interesting hopping. Too simple.

Cask handpull at County Hotel, JDW, Ashford. Orange colour with some hay some orange rind and some green hop. Malt is a bit dead and the finish has some citrus and hop. Overall not an outstanding bitter. 53539 2.5/5 Re-rate same place a few years later. It’s an ok bitter, some ok biscuit malt, some hop sting on finish. OK, if just not very interesting.
