Cloudy gold with a small white head. Soured orange. Sweet fruity notes, almost no sourness and an odd earthy note.

About 100ml draught on a sample tray at the brewpub, 7,7 % abv. Dotted spots on the glass, filmy layer, misty reddish body with a deep ruby shade. Moderate smell of dried fruits and berry skins. Rather sweet taste of yeasty fruitiness, berries and caramel malts. Berry-fruity finish. Ok depth. Fair enough. (Copenhagen 18.10.21).

Draught at the brewpub
Beautiful red-amber color, thin creamy head. Light aroma, with some esthers and candy like; not so good, but characterized by the house yeast; the good side is that at the end it smells a bit like a bag of hops. Good body strength, with a quite good caramel flavor, getting sweeter, and a balancing bitterness; there is also a hint of spices; creamy, almost buttery. Nothing special, but a consistent brew.

(On tap) Lightly hazy reddish brown with a fine and creamy - almost nitroish -beige head leaving a dense and pretty lacework. Some surprising buttery notes appear in the initial aroma, but that unwanted tang seems to evaporate and leave room for some fat aroma hoppiness. Quite a solid body, some nutty accents and a lightly burned edge that appear late. A little raw and unrefined bitterness. Not the world’s most subtle Barley Wine. 081107

From tap at the brewpub, thanks to Grovlam. Pours deep amber with a brown tone and a lacing head. Dry and slight woody, minor acidic and slight spiced. Flavour holds a nice soft caraml base with some body lasting into the finish. Finish holds a bit of bitterness and a minor spice note. Nice bock but not a barley wine.

Draft. A hazy deep red beer wtih a lazing tan head. The aroma is sweet with strong notes of berries and a hint of butter. The flavor is sweet malty wtih notes of berries and fruit as well as a light note of spices, leading to a fruity finish. OK, but nothing special.
