33cl bottle from Slijterij Zandvoort, NL. Head is big, egg-white, good retention. Colour is amber, hazy. Aroma is malty, orange, grapefruit, pine resin touch, caramel, vaguely tropical fruits. Taste is medium malty base, grapefruit, orange, bit pine resin, caramel, nice balanced harmonic bitterness, herbal touch, medium carbonation, taste is bit better than aroma, enjoyed.

330ml bottle. Clear, amber colour with average, thick, frothy to creamy, moderately lasting and lacing, off-white head. Caramel malty and rather weak, slightly piney, leafy, minimally citrusy fruity, hoppy aroma, hints of tea, whiffs of red berries, old lime peel. Taste is dry, piney, leafy and citrusy fruity hoppy, caramel malty basis with some residual sweetness, hints of tea, lemon tea, a touch of red berries, old lime peel. Watery, minimally oily texture, smooth and soft, slightly dry palate, medium to fine, mildly prickly carbonation. Well balanced, not the freshest hop flavours, rather leafy, almost earthy, a bit cautious as well - unspectacular.

Medium, stable; dense cream head over veiled foxy red-amber beer. Sweet exotic fruit, rosewater; sweetened, liqueurish orange. Bittterish, citrussy - suggesting acidity it doesn't have - dry, almost tannine-like. Strangely perpendicular to the nose. Features a copper-like tang, and gradually acquires that unmistakable stamp of a real ENGLISH IPA. Light, with that tang and a slight slickness. Maybe one of the best light IPA's from the Netherlands ever. Most interesting thing might be the perfectly accomplished Britishness. (And that is what it is - rather than a session IPA.)

Fles ter plaatse gekocht. Oranjebruin bier met mooie schuimkraag. Smaak is bitter hoppig en tamelijk zoet met iets van gras en wat fruit. Degelijk bier.
