A Northwest interpretation of a classic English style, golden copper in color and loaded with New World hop flavor and aroma. Extremely drinkable.

Surprisingly English interpretation coming from the PacNor area. Bready malts, cheerios and corn flakes, combined with hop resin and pine. Unbalanced taste, and not the best finish, has a burnt flavor.

Brewdog Shepherds Bush. Keg. Almost clear gold beer, small white head. Palate starts smooth but turns minerally crisp.Light smooth pale malt supports somewhat mellow hops. Mild orange peel bitterness, whisper of grapefruit. Smooth semi dry finish. I was really hoping for something with more hop muscle but this is a fairly well balanced and drinkable beer.

Bottle. Golden amber with a white head. Aroma of kumquats, nectarines, caramel, pine. Creamy texture, moderate carbonation. Lots of tenor register citrus flavours, caramel, light spices, pine that lingers but not naggingly so. Firm bitterness. A bit on the sweet side but all very harmonious.

12 ounce bottle into pint glass, no bottle dating. Pours moderately hazy golden orange color with a 1-2 finger dense off white head with good retention, that reduces to a small cap that lingers. Spotty soapy lacing clings down the glass. Aromas of grapefruit, tangerine, orange zest, lemon zest, orange rind, floral, grass, light pine, bread, light caramel, and floral earthiness. Very nice aromas with good balance and complexity of hop and moderate malt notes; with good strength. Taste of grapefruit, tangerine, orange zest, lemon zest, orange rind, pine, floral, grass, bread, light caramel, and floral earthiness. Good amount of earthy floral/pine bitterness on the finish; with lingering notes of citrus, citrus zest, pine, floral, grass, bread, light caramel, and floral earthiness on the finish for a good bit. Very nice balance and complexity of citrus/pine hops and moderate malt flavors; with a very crisp malt/bitterness balance and slight cloying bitterness after the finish. Medium carbonation and body; with a smooth, crisp, and moderately sticky mouthfeel that is nice. Alcohol is very well hidden with minimal warming present after the finish. Overall this is a very nice IPA. All around good balance and complexity of citrus/pine hops and moderate malt balance; and very smooth and crisp to drink. A very enjoyable offering.

Pours amber with a white head.Nose shows spicy, herbal and earthy hops along with some sweet, bready malt.Quite malty flavours, more bready notes along with some caramel before the spicy earthy hops roll through followed by an assertive bitterness.Nice moderately thick body.

Bottle from Pilgrim’s Market, Coeur d’Alene, Idaho, USA. A dark golden coloured pour with a small white head on top. Vague hoppy, citrus aroma. Tastes hoppy, citrus, slight bitterness, pine. It’s alright but certainly not a top draw IPA.

Nicely bitter and stringent aroma and aftertaste. Full hoppy nose, and nice full piney taste, appearance is the only thing lacking (better pour on second glass, appearance is fine. All else, this is a superior beer.
