To create Guinness 0.0, the St James’s Gate brewers start by brewing Guinness exactly as they always have, using the same natural ingredients; water, barley, hops and yeast; before gently removing the alcohol through a cold filtration method. The cold filtration process allows the alcohol to be filtered out without presenting thermal stress to the beer, protecting the integrity of its taste and character. The brewers then carefully blend and balance the flavours to ensure the distinctive flavour profile and taste characteristics of Guinness.

The resulting product is a stout that is unmistakably Guinness, just without the alcohol, featuring the same dark, ruby red liquid and creamy head, hints of chocolate and coffee

Can from Home Bargains, Salford. Black with a creamy head looking like a proper guinness but obviously lacking the oomph the alcohol gives to the original. Nevertheless it's crisp enough and slightly smooth tasting with some of the aromatic and tastes you expect from a Guinness.

Can from a British supermarket. Pours clear dark red-brown with a thick cream-coloured head. Aromas of light roast and blackcurrant. Texturally it's not far off the real thing. Light roast finish.

Nitrocan (From K-Supermarket Piffi, Sepänkylä). Black colour, mediumsized creamy beigeish brown head. Aroma is roasted malts, some coffee and mild herbal tones. Flavour is roasted, some herbal and mild wooden tones. Very watery and thin, makes this a very strange creamy mess to drink.

Single from 604. Goblet @home. Widget pour brts me a decently dense oatmeal head, though less cascading. Typical black Guinness body. Smell is a very muted, slightly cigarette-y. It really lacks here. Starts off with that signature twang, some natural cream flavor, but then leaks off a subtle but odd smokey meat flavor. Is that more natural flavor? It feels more acidic, but probably isn't. Thin as usual, maybe a hair starchy, the lack of booze is felt on the edges of sips. It's okay.

Can. Well this surely looks like a Guinness. Aroma of cocoa and milk chocolate. Taste of cocoa and chocolate at first and then comes that inevitable wort flavour everyone despises. Low bitterness. Low carbonation. Creamy mouthfeel. This is a really nice and enjoyable alternative to the real thing.
