To create Guinness 0.0, the St James’s Gate brewers start by brewing Guinness exactly as they always have, using the same natural ingredients; water, barley, hops and yeast; before gently removing the alcohol through a cold filtration method. The cold filtration process allows the alcohol to be filtered out without presenting thermal stress to the beer, protecting the integrity of its taste and character. The brewers then carefully blend and balance the flavours to ensure the distinctive flavour profile and taste characteristics of Guinness.

The resulting product is a stout that is unmistakably Guinness, just without the alcohol, featuring the same dark, ruby red liquid and creamy head, hints of chocolate and coffee

Almost black with creamy nitro head. The aroma is subtle but the sweet malts are there. Mouthfeel is good, slightly silken, a little oily. As with regular Guinness the first few sips really pack a punch with burnt malt bitterness coming through well. Later, slightly more sweet but a lingering bitterness remains in the aftertaste.

Can from Total Wine in Folsom, CA. Pours typically Guinness ending in creamy beige/tan head. Dark brn/blk liquid with orange glints. Widget rattled in the can. Aroma of smooth toasty, but not burnt malt. Med body or so. Flavor is smooth dark malt with a hint suggesting tea. Not completely dry; moderately bitter. Good flavor for a 0.

Burk från Systembolaget. Svart med ett beiget skum. Doftar lite rostat Fyllig för att vara alkoholfri, rostad malt. Nästan större kropp än en vanlig 4,2a.

440ml can from Tesco. Dark pour with a large white collar. Properly silky and light, very mild flavours but then I don't recall standard Guinness having much going on. Recognisable Guinness malt profile. Minimum bitterness and roast. Kind of OK for AF.

0.44 l can from 'Drankgigant.nl', canned in October 2021. Pitch black with a thin, creamy, dense, stable, beige head. Sweetish-malty, slightly roasty aroma of caramel, some coffee, chocolate and light licorice. Gently sweet, malty, moderately bitter, slightly roasty taste of caramel, coffee, chocolate and some licorice, followed by a short, gently roasty-bitter, quite dry finish. Thin body, slightly watery mouthfeel, flat. Decent NA stout for sure.
