Old rating - 500ml bottle, pours dark amber with a white head. Aromas & tastes of dried fruits, toffee, toast, rye, nuts, liquorice & malt. Medium body. Light bitter finish

Creamy off white head on a reddish brown coloured body. Red berry, liquorice & fruity aroma. Medium bodied, soft & smooth with sharp dry back. Malt, caramel, toffee, berry & spiced tastes with a bitter finish. Nice enough.

500 ml bottle at Ye Olde Frigate Bar, Aberdeen. ABV 3.9%. Served at room temperature. Reddish brown colour, large off-white to beige head. Malty and slightly vinegary aroma and flavour, sourish. Not great.

Cask at the Standing Order. Pours clear amber with a bubbly off-white head. Aromas of toffee and nuts. Taste is hellish sweet, toffee and little else. Sticky finish. Didn’t finish it.

Cask tasted at the Standing Order (11/08/2016). Clear red amber colour with minimal white head. Aroma of caramel, nuts and malts. Taste is almost the same, nuts and malts with some caramel on the background. Soft carbonation and watery aftertaste. Next one please!

500ml bottle. Reddish brown with a thin off white head. Sweet and slightly sour aroma. Taste is initially sweet, turning sours and with an odd, dry finish (cinnamon?)

Bottle. Frothy White fair mostly deminishing head. Amber colour. Moderate malty and light hoppy aroma. Moderate bitter flavor. Average moderate bitter finish. SOme caramel. Oily palate. Deasent dark bitter.
