Tap at Murphy’s Law. Black with beige head. Dry roasted chocolate malts, cocoa powder. Light sweet and medium bitter. About medium body, soft carbonation. Dry chocolate finish, some faint sour woody notes.

On tap at Murphy’s Law. Dark brown with a tall beige head with good retention. Notes of roasted malts, smoke, dark chocolate. Medium body and carbonation and a roasty bitter-sweet finish.

Can at home, 19th November 16. Pours black with a nice fluffy head. Aroma with my head cold is limited. Taste is smooth, silky, roasted malts, light flavours, easy drinking stout.

Bottle 660ml. @ [ (Chris and Ruth’s pre-GBBF tasting 2015) by chriso - London ]. [ As Moor Stout ].Clear dark black brown color with a average, frothy, good lacing, mostly lasting, off-white head. Aroma is moderate malty, roasted, dark malt, tobacco, wood, light to moderate hoppy. Flavor is moderate to light heavy sweet and bitter with a long duration, wood, tobacco, dark malt, roasted. 330ml can picked up at Tuckers Maltings in Newton Abbot and shared with Finn on a Great Western Train from Exeter to London. Huge, rocky, fawn coloured head blanketing the glass. Jet black body. Aroma of dark malts, nicely roasted.Chocolate malty flavours backed by dark berries and an impact of coffee to a roasted ending. Rounded palate. Fine bodied to a well made stout (30.09.2016).

Keg at Mother Kelly’s, 20/10/16. Light black with a well appointed tan head that retains well. Nose is roast malt, toffee, chocolate, light spice. Taste comprises cocoa powder, roast malt, light hop tickle, raisins, dark fruit shreds, toffee. Medium bodied, fine carbonation, semi drying close with a roasted finale and light hop pang. Solid flavoursome stout.

330ml can from Ales by Mail. BBE 02/2017. Pours pitch black with a smooth head. Aroma of roasty malts, earthiness, licorice, chocolate and cold coffee. Taste is smooth, slightly sweetish, roasty and earthy with some licorice. Finish is roasty and slightly earthy with some licorice. Quite balanced stout.
