Close Your Eyes and Open Your Mouth.

Once upon a time, in our misspent youth, we played one of dumbest drinking games known to exist. This game consisted of pulling the bladder out of a box of wine, and throwing it at each other in between taking long pulls from the plastic tap while slapping the bag. That’s it. That’s the game… Um. So yeah, this IPA was generously hopped with Nelson Sauvin, Vic Secret, Huell Melon, & Hallertau Blanc - all hops that possess wine-like elements (get it?!) - exhibiting notes of passion fruit, gooseberry, honeydew, white grape, and a touch of minerality - making it just a bit more complex than Franzia.

Big ’ups’ to Alex for shipping me this 32oz crowler. It pours with a murky copper body that has thin gold hued edges and supports a firm fairly tight light tan head. An inviting looking beer. The aroma offers up grapefruit, cantaloupe, a dash of spicy hops and then a tangelo juice note at the end of the draw. The taste delivers a blend of smooth juicy tangelo and cantaloupe like hop flavor as well as some bitter grapefruit and somewhat pineapple notes. This comes together really nice with juicy hoppy depth and a tasty bitter hops balance. I dig it.

Tap at the brewpub. Hazy orange color with white head. Aroma is sweet fruits, grapes, nice hopping. Taste is the same. Medium carbonation. Rather sweet, but very nice!

Draft pour pint at Cloudburst, Seattle. Cloudy, golden orange pour with a lasting fizz head. First Cloudburst brew of their second year. Cheers to you guys! Melon fruit hops. Flavor is a bold bitter fruity hop constant, and a corn flake grain transition. Grain centered finish, Quite bitter for my tropical go to IPA. Tasty beer still for sure.
