S’mores Mind Over Matter is the next iteration of our 8% double chocolate milk stout series. We set out to give this beer as much flavor as our higher ABV stouts but in a lower ABV format. S’mores Mind Over Matter is brewed with lactose and conditioned on cocoa nibs, graham crackers and marshmallows.

A black beer, a head is medium and light brown. Aroma has chocolate, something sweet berryness. Taste has the same chocolate and berryness. Medium bodied. Quite simple.

Can, 0.473l. Aroma of chocolate, vanilla, caramel, crackers and roasted malt. Pours almost black color with thick soapy light brown head and sparkling appearance. Taste starts with milk chocolate, hint of dried fruit with slightly metallic note, following is roasted and bready, mouthfeel is warm but crisp, while finish is very mild bitter. Full body, creamy texture and average carbonation in palate. Chocolate over crackers…

Pours a near black from a can, lots of khaki colored lacing. Bitter chocolate aroma and flavor, not picking up on graham or marshmallow. One note. Good beer.

Optisch wie Motoröl, in der Nase Amaretto-Schokolade. Im Trunk röstig, Schokolade, leicht angebrannt. Dezente Süße, spät Milch, passt. Keine Spur alkoholisch.

Can at home picked up from HOTM. A dark black brown coloured pour with a fading mid tan head. Aroma is milk choc, jammy fruits, nutshell, lactose sweetness, Flavour is composed of bitter choc, jammy fruits, lactose, bitter chocolate edge, rounded, lingering bitter choclate. Fruit and nut. Palate is semi sweet, milky,rounded, moderate carbonation. ok.

Can sample at a tasting at Yoav's place. Dark brown to black, chocolate, vanilla, a bit vegetal, very artificial, sweetish and slightly sourish, ashy, minerals. Not good.
