Bottle from Drankenhandel Leiden. Aroma is nicely malty with caramel, toasty notes and a hint of roast. Moderate sweet with a decent bitterness. Very drinkable, not picking up the usual dried fruits. Moving towards Brown Ale.

Mahogany brown colour with lasting head. Nice rounded malty taste. Slightly metallic. Not overly sweet.

Aroma is moderate malty, toasted, dark malt, caramel, sweet malt, malty, light nutty. Flavor is moderate sweet with a average to long duration, sweet malt, malty, sweet malt - caramel, toasted. Body is medium, texture is oily, carbonation is soft. [20220123]

--Bottled, thanks koelschtrinker! -- Almost clear copper colour, mid sized head. Toasty nose with grass and dates. Fairly dry with medium to full body and dense, well rounded mouthfeel, Dates, dark bread and notes of caramel licorice Mid bitter finish. Overall solid.
