Daher PROST!

Chestnut color and a small off-white head. Fruity and yeasty on the nose. Taste is slighly sour, fruity yeast, caramel, raisins. Fi ish with oaky flavors.

Bottle, 75 cl corked, at Jæren Ølfestival. A clear one, deep golden in color, with a dense light beige head. Fruity, semi-sourish, lightly berry-ish aroma with some white sugar, hints of banana and spices and some alcohol. It’s medium to full-bodied, softly carbonated and rather sweet on the palate, almost too sweet, leaving a strange feeling on the palate. White sugar, banana and spices, some alcohol and a generic fruityness in the flavor. Lasting sweet finish with fruityness dominating. Not very interesting this one, too sweet and cloying. 220813

Brown colour, minimal head. Aroma is cherry, a bit of candy sugar and balsamico. Medium sweetness, slightly sour. Medium carbonation. Could be less sweet. Good.

Shared bottle at Bryne tasting. Reddish brown colour, off-white to beige head. Dull malty aroma. Malty flavour, not very sour. Not bad, but unexpectedly boring.

750 ml corked and caged. Aroma is bready, dark fruit, vinegar, smoky. Pours hazy amber with a one finger beige head with decent retention. Taste is mostly sweet with a light tartness (4-5/10) that builds slightly on the tongue. Nothing wrong with the palate. Not really like a tripel or a typical Rodenbach sour—only vague elements of both. Definitely a unique beast.
