SUPER SMOOTH WITH CHOCOLATE MALT, COFFEE AND TOFFEE NOTES. Innately predisposed to be smooth when Poured Hard, this nitro coffee porter builds a pillowy, toffee-sweet head. Coffee and flavors of caramelized sugar, cacao and hints of blueberry lead to a light, smoky finish.

Bottle from Tanakaya. Pours a pitch black with a finger of beige foam that lingers throughout. Coffee forward nose with big chocolate milk aromas. Very light-bodied on the palate. Classic porter feel. Deep espresso, mocha, and cacao nib notes on the palate with some light roasty bitterness. Creamy mouthfeel. Not overly sweet, with some bitterness on the finish. Very smooth and enjoyable coffee beer. --- Beer merged from original tick of Hard Wired Nitro on 17 Apr 2016 at 21:58 - Score: 7. Original review text: Huge coffee and milk chocolate nose. Espresso and cacao on the palate. Creamy and smooth but feels super light. Great stuff.

Bottle sample at a dessert beer tasting at the Beer & Beyond shop. Black with a small creamy tan head. Aroma of roast, coffee, a bit of cream. Sweetish and slightly sourish flavor with coffee, roast, bitterish finish. Medium-bodied. Nice.

Sampled on draft at Vintage Estate this beer poured a black color with a huge creamy beige head that lingered forever and left excellent lacing. The aroma was coffee, a bit of toasty malts and a bit of floral hops. The flavor was bitter with some sour malts, brewed coffee, vanilla cream and a roasty note. Medium length finish. Medium body and creamy. Disappointing.

Bottle. Black body with a dense beige head, which holds well. Faint lacing. Aroma of nuts, milk chocolate and rust. Flavour of blueberry, coffee and chocolate. Medium body with a creamy mouthfeel. Light fizz. A tasty, savoury Porter but it lacks depth of flavour.

Bottle from Biervana. Dark brown color with super-smooth creamy nitro head. Aroma is coffee, and a bit of chocolate, surprisingly fresh. Taste is mostly coffee, hints of cocoa, hints of a blueberry sweetness as well. Super-silky mouthfeel with the nitro carbonation. The finish is slightly metallic and bitter. Feels light, but not watery. Still maybe a bit too light, there is no viscousness. The metallicness in the finish makes up for the average amount of points in the Palate section. This beer doesn’t just trigger associations of coffee, it triggers associations of actual coffee. Not just coffee beans either, actual brewed coffee.

Bottle: Black, with a thin, whipped, light brown head. Cocoa powder, coffee aroma. Taste is creamy, chocolate, roast coffee. A bit of ash and smoky bitterness. Really milky...... Very good, could be outstanding with a more heft to the body.
