“We make Kentucky Common for the Kentucky Common man, because that’s who we are and that’s who we care about.”

Kentucky’s only indigionous beer style originating in the Louisville area. Near the turn of the 20th century most Kentucky breweries only made this style and it accounted for around 80% of the Louisville area’s beer consumption. A blend of caramel, chocolate and roasted barley malts give most of the sweet and coffee like notes, while the addition of adjuncts of corn and rye contribute spicy notes and mellow sweetness. The special yeast used in this beer produces a measure of lactic acid yielding a tart and refreshing finish.

Caramel malt and fresh hay aroma. Cloudy brown with moderate head. Moderate sweet-tart milk, cherry, caramel malt, and mildly bitter/astringent fresh hay flavor. Good body.
