440ml can into pint glass. Equipped with a widget so this dark brown beer has a lush creamy head. Nose is milk chocolate. Nice lacing. Medium body, flat mouthfeel. Finish is sweet milk coffee with some dry fruitcake right at the end. Perfectly drinkable stout. Not complex but tasty.

Nitro can. Darkish brown with a beige nitro head. Aroma of mild roast, coffee, some cream. Light bodied. Taste of unsweetened iced coffee, light spices, prunes. Dry with modest bitterness and roasted malt. Not a bad quaffer at all - and I think the nitro suits it.

Tap at Fränkisches Bierfest. Black, medium mellow body. Roast, tobacco smoke. Light metallic chocolate body. Quick chocolate finish.

Black beer, thin beige head. Dry, malty chocolate aroma. Taste is the same, with a real dry, toasty feel to it and a bit of sweet chocolate in the finish. Could go being a bit richer but it's nice.

Black stout. Burnt malt aroma. Taste is similar but with a fruity undertone. Quite drinkable.

0.44 l can from 'Rudat', best before September 2018. Clear, very dark brownish red to black with a medium large, creamy, absolutely stable, beige head. Sweetish-malty, slightly roasty aroma of milk chocolate, coffee and some licorice. Moderately sweet, malty, quite roasty taste of dark chocolate, coffee, some licorice and a touch of hazelnut, followed by a short, moderately bitter, roasty and slightly earthy-dry finish. Medium body, very smooth and slightly creamy mouthfeel, very soft carbonation. Easily drinkable, not too deep but not watery, looks perfect of course!

Pours crystal clear very dark reddish brown color with a 1-2 finger dense and creamy light khaki head with amazing retention, that reduces to a large cap that lasts the whole glass. Thick creamy/soapy lacing clings down the glass. Amazing appearance. Aromas of milk/dark chocolate, cocoa, coffee, caramel, brown sugar, nuttiness, and toasted dark/brown bread; with light notes of smoke, molasses, dark fruit, herbal, grass, and yeast/roast/toasted earthiness. Nice and pleasant aromas with good balance and complexity of dark/roast/bready malt and light earthy hop/fruity yeast notes; with solid strength. Taste of milk/dark chocolate, cocoa, coffee, caramel, brown sugar, nuttiness, and toasted dark/brown bread; with light notes of smoke, molasses, dark fruit, herbal, grass, and yeast/roast/toasted earthiness. Mild herbal/grassy hop and roast bitterness on the finish. Lingering notes of milk/dark chocolate, cocoa, coffee, caramel, brown sugar, nuttiness, toasted dark/brown bread, light smoke/molasses/dark fruit, herbal, grass, and yeast/roast/toasted earthiness on the finish for a while. Very nice complexity, robustness, and balance of dark/roast/bready malt and light earthy hop/fruity yeast flavors; with a great roast/hop bitter/sweet balance, and zero cloying/acrid/astringent flavors after the finish. Light carbonation and medium body; with a very smooth, creamy, silky, and velvety mouthfeel that is great. Slight sticky hops, chalky roast, and increasing dryness. Zero warming alcohol as expected of 4.2%. Overall this is a very nice dry stout. All around nice complexity, robustness, and balance of dark/roast/bready malt and light earthy hop/fruity yeast flavors; very smooth and easy to drink, with the mildly bitter and silky nitro finish. Very flavorful for the low ABV. Rich English/roast malts, balancing hops, and mild fruity yeast. A very enjoyable offering, and spot on style example.
