Faxe 10% is a strong beer with 10% alcohol. The slight sweetness combined with the high alcohol percentage results in a balanced product with a vinous taste.
It is easily drinkable and an excellent alternative to drinks and cocktails.

You’ve got the same things here as with the common lager. Golden colour. Aroma of grain & maize. Bitterness in ending phase. But all these things get almost lost under the huge pressure of alcohol. Pleasantly sweet notes of the taste are totally overdubbed by aggressive ABV. Not really bad but absolutely unnecessary. Highly recommended for drunkards, a one-try-brew for others.

Sampled from 50cl can. Clear orange golden color, medium sized white head. Smell and taste malts, lightly grainy, some sweetness and alcohol. A bit like a sweet pilsener with too much alcohol. Oh wait, that’s exactly it! Typical malt liquor.

100 cl can @ HeBF’13. Canned 06.03.2013, BBE 04.06.2014. Thanks Jultsu!
Aroma has fusel‐like alcohol, some corn, gluey notes and pear esthers. Flavour has boozy notes, corn, some malt, starchy notes and pear esthers. Boozy all the way.
”This could be a nice beer to vomit into the bushes.”

Can. Golden colour with not too much head (just something very small and white, which disappears fast). Aroma is alcohol, some sweet grains as well as mild glue and earthyness. Flavour is alcohol, sweet malts, mild grains, some rubber as well as earth and some quite dusty notes as well. Harsh.

Alcohol is what this beer is all about. Not much in the aroma or taste department, but that’s not the draw here, it’s the alcohol. Potent, but no burn...

Canette 500ml.
