Ein hochvergorenes Ale mit 25% Stammwürze und 13,5%, mit dem die alte Traditionsgeschichte des Barley Wine weitergeschrieben wird. Nach seiner Gärung reift es drei Monate im Barriquefass aus amerikanischer Eiche. Dadurch entsteht ein vielschichtiges harmonisches Bier mit zarter Bittere und dezenter Süße – malzig, aber trocken mit Aromen von dunklen Trockenfrüchten, dunkler Gerste und Karamell.

The beer is really not cheap, a 0,33l bottle is 18 euro. Looks a bit different than the other BraufactuM bottles, no front label, printed on the bottle, normal back label. But looks very, very good. Beer in the glass is dark brown, zippy, almost no head. Very alcoholic aroma. Starts very strong, again alcoholic, malty, not too roasty, also rusty and earthy. The alcoholic notes get more and more soapy. Also some hints of caramel and dried fruits. Fiery finish, still very strong and malty, not as intense alcoholic as the beginning. Warming aftertaste. Remembering the BraufactuM beers I have tried before, this one is a bit disappointing, but nevertheless its still a great beer!
