0.33 l bottle from the brewery's web shop, best before October 2022. Hazy, ruby with a thin, frothy, slowly diminishing, off-white head. Sweetish-malty, quite fruity, a little oxidized aroma of plums, figs, raisins, caramel, molasses and vanilla. Fairly sweet, malty, moderately bitter, gently fruity taste of caramel, molasses, some honey, vanilla, plums, raisins and light figs, followed by a long, moderately bitter, quite boozy, a little woody finish. Medium to full body, smooth and slightly effervescent mouthfeel, soft carbonation. Very rich, sweet and complex sipper, a tad too boozy but still really tasty. Good!

Vineous amber color with no head. Aroma is oxidized, caramel, raisins, fermented fruit. Taste is the same, quite a bit off. Hardly any carbonation. Not very good.

Rötlichbraunes Bier mit geringer Schaumkrone. Geruch sehr malzig, dunkle überreife Früchte, holzig. Geschmack malzig süß, leicht alkoholisch, trockene überreife Früchte, holzig.

Bottle. Pours brown with a fizzy off white head. Notes of port, chocolate and raisin in aroma. Taste is very sweet with heavy notes of chocolate and raisin and also small notes of smoke and sweet liquor. Quite smooth texture.

Bottle at BBF13. Fat sherry aroma. Cloudy dark red brown colour. No head. The flavour is quite fruity, has cherry, sherry notes, vanilla. Quite alcoholic, even boozy. Alcohol bitterness in the finish. Good, but too much alcohol for me.

Bottle @ BBF13. Pours murky brown with very small tan head. Clear aroma of malt, nuts and caramel. Sweet, malty and caramellish flavour with notes of roasted nuts. Deafening alcohol presence. Nice but too boozy for me.

Süßlicher Antrunk, in dem der Alkoholgehalt bereits erkennbar ist aber nicht stört. Würziger werdend, süße Schokolade, in der Nase brennend. Positiv holzig, rund. Gutes vollmundiges Bier, vielleicht einen Ticken zu süß. 6/10/8/12/12/11

Bottle 538/1050 (2011). Deep amber with no head, looks a bit like brandy. Aroma is wood and wine. Flavour is warming fruit, nuts, caramel. Balanced fruity caramel finish. Very nice.
