Bottle. It pours a hazy amber body under a big, creamy, beige head. There’s a pleasant, subtle smoke in the aroma, with banana, cloves and bubblegum blending nicely. The flavor has some bitterness in the finish, with a touch of caramel and the same weissbier things found in the aroma. Full body, pleasant carbonation. Lasting finish. Quite lovely this one. Would like to have more. 141003

Capped 750 from Capitol Beer in Sacramento, CA. Pour looks brown, but against very strong light it’s copper/orange. Creamy tan head. Aroma of smoke and wheat. Med body or nearly. Flavor is smoky wheat. There’s a roasty malt aspect, but it’s a sort of one hit wonder. Smoky. Not that that’s a bad thing. :)

On tap at beer bistro. A very nice looking glowing honey amber with a foamy beige head. Great aroma, maple bacon & caramel.  Medium light body, a bit watery. Very nice smokey & rye plus caramel.

50cl bottle pours with a slightly murky mahogany body that supports a thin tan head. The offers up a mix of caramel malts, some bacony smoke, a bit of spicy molasses and then cherry to date like dark fruity esters. The taste is similar with sweet dark fruity esters, a molasses note and then smokiness that has a thin ring of bacon and is a little too light in the face off the malts and esters going on in the foreground. It gets into mild spiciness with black licorice and black strap molasses. Overall this is too sweet and a bit too fruity to really enjoy the smokiness.

Bottle left over from Sunday night poker game. Pours brown with nice pillowy head. Nose is sweet smoke and some caramel. Tastes of burnt caramel, some light peaty smoke, bubblegum, cloves, and plenty of wheat. Creamy mouthfeel and easy drinking.. Smoke not overpowering and this is pleasant enough if slight odd.
