(bottle) Clear, deep golden colour with a firm and off-white medium-sized foamy head. Mildly bready and toasty malty aroma with a whiff of peat, backed by caramel as well as herbal and subtle fruity hops. Moderately sweet and mildly bitter flavour, medium bodied with a modest carbonation. Bready malt character with caramel and herbal hoppy spice; almost dry-ish bitter-sweet cara-malty finish with a tinge of smoke. Quite balanced and nice. 08.I.16

Bottle, 6.8%. Clear light amber colour. Good stable white head. The flavour is nicely malty with a faint hint of caramel in the finish and a mild alcohol note. Well-balanced.

0,5 l bottle. Bright clear copper with a fast fading head in the glass. Low roasted on the nose. Taste starts low smokey, some malt. Cheap wood, roasted grain. Low bitterness. No real Bock sweetness. Little bit alcoholic. Another Duckstein that didn´t fullfill the ambitions of advertising and bottle art.
