--Canned, from Systembolaget. -- Clear mahogany colour, mid sized head. Caramelly cookie aroma. Sweet with full body and dense, well rounded mouthfeel. Deep caramelly malt, mild hay, hints of prunes, citrus and red berries. Warming finish with long bitterness. Rich and pleasant. Unusually harmonious and adult American beverage.

Draft. A- Gummy, caramel. A- Brown color, cloudy liquid, minimal head. T- Gum, bitter, caramel, slightly boozy. P- Full body, average texture, average carbonation, bitter finish. O- Definitely an American style. I got a weird bubblegum flavor but I seem to be off my rocker when looking at other rates. Very bitter. not a fan.

Sampled from the tap at the Normal brewpub. Pours a clear deep amber with a creamy tan head that dissipates slowly to the edges. Aroma has a good amount of sweet grains with some toffee and a hint bread underlying. Flavor has a good amount of sweet grain with a hint of toffee that makes it quite drinkable.

Draft @ FoBAB 2009, Chicago, IL. Pours a slightly hazy amber color with a small off-white head. Has a sweetish malty hoppy caramel aroma with weak oaky hints. Has a sweetish malty darak fruit and caramel flavor with hoppy hints and hints of bourbon and vanilla. Has a sweetish malty hoppy bitter caramel finish with hints of vanilla and bourbon.

@CBC–on tap-pours an off white ring for a head and cloudy amber color. Aroma is fruit, medium malt. Taste is sweet fruit, medium malt. Slick mouth feel, secondary earthy hops. 3.2 *100528-Destihl BBA Triton BW–on tap @brewpub-pours a tan head and hazy copper color. Aroma is dark fruit-raisin, medium malt-caramel/toffee, wood. Tastes is dark fruit-raisin, medium malt-caramel/toffee, wood/vanilla/bourbon. 3.6
