Pale, crystal and black malt have been combined to produce a rich, robust body. Black malt adds intense colour and flavour, perfectly matched with assertive British hops.

Half-pint, on tap at The Old Fountain. Shared with Finn. Next-to-clear copper coloured body, filmy layer, dotted spots on the glass. Smells inviting with caramel malts and ripe fruits. Malt-fruity flavoured, moments of caramel, earth, and leafy hops. Ends dry with a bittersweet bite. Nice. (London 16.11.2021).

8/10/2021. Cask at the 43rd Bedford Beer and Cider Festival. Pours clear dark tawny brown with a small bubbly off-white head. Aroma of malt, toffee, dried fruits, nut, bready earthy notes, touch of spice. Moderate sweetness, medium bitterness. Medium body, slight creamy texture, soft carbonation. Well worked especially for its modest abv.
