Cask at the Caxton Club, Beccles, Suffolk. Pours almost black with an average sized, slightly creamy, beige head. Aroma of roasted malt, chocolate, caramel, vanilla and a touch of coffee. Medium plus sweetness, moderate roasted bitterness. Medium body, slick texture, soft to flat carbonation. Smooth chocolate finish. Decent stout.

Cask-conditioned at the Gryphon, Bristol 4/3/2016. Near black in colour with a slight, beige, head. Roasted malts, with a touch of coffee and some chocolate sweetness leading to a dryish finish. Good.
