Brown with a frothy, off-white head that lingers. Aroma of honey and booze. Taste is mildly bitter up front, sweeter at the end, a mix of honey sweetness and slightly burnt caramel. Body to the full side of medium, mild carbonation. Finishes boozy, the alcohol only partially hidden. Drinkable, but disappointing.

330 ml bottle. Pours a dark reddish brown with full head. Aromas of oaky raisins, candi sugar, floral honey and soft bready malts. Flavors follow same with additional floral notes and Belgian yeast. Tasty and unique with the honey.

Mørk gylden. Klar. Veldig høyt kremaktig skum med litt farge. Lett honningaroma. Myk munnfølelse. Smaken kandissukker, tørket frukt - og mere honning. 750 ml bottle online from the source. Pours clear mahogany brown with a beige cap. Aroma: sweet, dark fruits, date, prune, raisin, fig, candy sugar, fruit cake. Taste: moderate+ sweet & bitter, dried fruits, caramel, toffee, oak, boozy fruit cake. Medium body with spritzy carbonation. Decent

75cl bottle from Geers. Hazy dark amber, small, foamy, off-white head. Aroma of candied date, raisin, pear syrup, dark honey, liqueur, almond, brioche, cherry, wet wood. Taste has very sweet date, pear & cherry in a brown-sugary, dark-honeyish, brioche-like malt body covered by spicy clove, soft toast and softly bitter orange orange peel. Herbal hoppy finish offering more sweet spices (liquorice), wet wood, honey and boozy (honey) liqueur-like alcohol. Full body, oily-syrupy texture, soft carbonation. A satisfying Quad, no doubt, which was however somewhat too heavily advertised.

Bottle, small stable bubbly head, very dark red colour, aroma of wood and dried apples with hints of glue and spice, caramelly flavour with dried apples and apricots, quite a lot of alcohol coming through. Not too refined.

Bottle from Brewdog Paddington, London. A dark amber/brown coloured pour with a medium beige head on top. Dark fruit, caramel, yeasty, honey aroma and taste. Dry and also quite bitter, reminded me of La Trappe Quadrupel but without the sweetness. Decent enough collaboration.

Flesje gedeeld met familie. Roodbruin bier met matig schuim dat als een film blijft liggen. Aroma van vanille, hout en whisky. De smaak is zacht, houtig, zoet en whisky-achtig. De nasmaak is enigszins pittig.
