Oude is a very special blend of wild ales aged for 1 up to 4 years. Over 1/3 of the total blend is aged in oak puncheons (500l) for 4 years. We’ve never used such an old beer in our blends so far. This gives the final beer a characterful and complex taste. Another 50% is a younger beer of 1 years old which adds freshness, herbal and floral qualities to the blend. The remaining part of the blend is a 2 year old beer that acts as a bridge between the old and young.

Bottle @ Ratebeer Odense Spring Vibes, 2024. Pours Hazy Golden with a White head. Sesame, funk and Wood. Dry and funky finish. Dope.

Golden with a white head - Tart malt aroma - Malt body with a tart flavour with wood - The tart flavours goes into the finish - This was good

75cl bottle. Vintage 2020. At tasting 19.11.2022. Poured clear and golden in color. Funky nose, some wood and rhubarb like notes. Dry mouthfeel. Notes of vinegar later. Acidic.

0,75l at home. Bottled 19.12.2020. Yellow almost clear color, small white head. Smells earthy, grassy, bit vinous, stone fruits, hay. Nice to very nice smell, rather subtle. Full body, soft carbonation. Tastes grassy, earthy, funky, cheesy, some wood, bit lactic, oak, bit vinous, tannins. Finishes dry and light to medium sour with notes of tannins, stone fruits and some hay. Hmm, good, but not the best Tommie, very subtle and mellow, leaning a bit toward lactic notes, lacks some complexity, this might either be good at 5% abv or with a tad more complexity. Still good stuff though.

Bottle. Dark golden. Quite funky, oak, caramel, soft herbal, apricot, dusty fruit skins. Medium sweet, sour and bitter. Over medium bodied. Good!

How: Bottle.
Where: MBCC 2022.
Appearance: Hazy dark golden colour with a white head.
Aroma: Fruit, sour, funk, yeast, grass, acidic.
Body: Medium body and carbonation.
Flavour: Sour, fruit, yeast, tart.

Taster at MBCC 22. Golden with little head. Apples, sour, yeast, funky, sweetness. Not bad.

Dolle 40 years and 20k bash. Hazy orange with a disappearing white head. Funky aroma with wood and apricot. Sweetish and tart fruity flavour with strong cellar character.
