Each year's hop harvest is often thought of as a linear progression: present becomes the past all the while moving into the future. Unbeknownst to most of us, Turok: Mosaic Hunter, exists within a pseudo-Pacific Northwest – hop farms of the now, the past & those that have yet to come – traveling between periods of time seeking out the best Mosaic for your IPA. Here at Cellarmaker we relate to Turok. Our satisfaction comes from finding the best hops no matter where or which crop year they are, as long as they are FIRE.

Draught. Clear gold with a medium white head. Aroma of fruity hop. Flavour is lots of fruit, soft bitter hop, citrus syrup finish.

On tap at Cellarmaker. It pours a clear light golden color with a small white head. The aroma is earthy and dank. Very strong weed with a little berry. The flavor is the same. I’m surprised by how much weed flavor this thing has. A little spicy and earthy with light berry fruit. Low bitterness and light hints of caramel malt. Mostly dry and bready malt backbone. Pretty good.

The beer is a light coppery amber. Bridge and clear. White head. Some lacing, decent retention, whatever. The aroma is fairly grassy for mosaic, at least in my experience, but it’s still nice and fruity. Bright, sweet stone fruit. Peach, pineapple, tangerine. Light floral tone. Mild to moderate bitterness. Good fruit flavor in the taste. Lots of grass, some pine. Light feel. Very refreshing and easy to drink. Good beer.
