May ’15. A 0.66 l bottle from Getränke Walter store, Munich. It poured, of course, pitch black body with small and compact brown head. Weaker coffee aroma. Flavor was lightly sour and straightforwardly alcoholic, coffee driven roasted malty. Very simple for the style, with a hint of cocoa only. Medium, even thin for what it is, with quite long finish where alcohol and coffee were dominating, too. Fine licorice note was picked up here, being the only real, more complex note. Judging by the ratings it might vary a lot, but my batch didn’t show quite much as it should.

Bottled. A black beer with a brown head. The aroma has notes of roasted malt, alcohol, and over ripe fruits. The flavor is sweet with notes of roasted malt, alcohol, and brown sugar, leading to a dry finish.

Sampled from bottle @ Abijen’s Christmas non-tick tasting. Opaque pitch black color, average sized brown head. Smell and taste malts, roast, nice earthy and liquorice notes. Quite pleasant. Doesn’t really taste like 10% ABV.

Bottle, thick bubbly brown head, opaque black color, aroma of vanila, wood, cinamon, charred bread, and a hint of dark chocolate, flavor of dark chocolate with charred notes and some alcohol in the back, mellow bittersweet aftertaste. Nice, pleasant sipper.
