What is Bouncy House? It’s the next step in our quest to brew the perfect low-alcohol, high-flavor, hoppy American ale. We learned a few things from brewing ParadoX earlier this year, like lowering the alcohol content and avoiding the terms "session" and "IPA." When you taste Bouncy House, you’ll taste a modest malt bill of North American 2-row, British pale ale malt, C-60 and Aromatic malt mashed for a refreshingly light body that leaves plenty of spotlight for a melange of Warrior, Calypso, El Dorado and Citra hops.

(bottle, 35.5cl) Hazy, golden colour with a short and slightly off-white foamy head. Mildly biscuity malty aroma with fruity hoppy notes of citrus, tangerine, as well as a floral touch. Bitter flavour, light bodied with a modest carbonation. Dry and slim pale malt character with very present drying and moderately fruity hops, accompanied by notes of grass and spruce; dry and slim, also a bit raw and astringent finish. Not as balanced as some hoppy light Ales from Scotland, which come to my mind. 15.XI.14

At a tasting, thanks zvikar, small stable bubbly head, very haxzy and quite cloudy lightish orange, pine, tobbaco and some mandarine in the back, flavour of guva and grapefruit with a malty backbone, quite strong grapefruit bitterness, long bitter sour aftertaste thats a bit too dominating. A bit off but still quite drinkable.

Gravity dispense at GBBF ’14, day 2, 13/08/14. Lightly hazed golden with moderate off white edgeing. Nose is citric peel, bubble gum, light pine, soft bread dough, orange pith. Taste comprises earthy hops, mango, tangerine, pine. Medium bodied, fine carbonation, semi drying close with a subtle hop linger. Decent enough SIPA.
