British Golden Ale, in many ways the lesser-known Belgian blonde's cousin. In the Belgian variety the sensation is very dependent on the classic fruity and alcoholic yeast character, which is absent in the British Golden Ale. Our Goldies Promise has a well-rounded, rich malty base which provides a suprisingly substantial body, especially taking into consideration its low ABV. The finish brings a pleasant hoppy bitterness with herbal character and notes of black currants, of course obtained through the use of classic British hop varieties.
In the grist you'll find mainly pale malts with a slight contribution of wheat and munich. Bitterness here comes from Challenger, with aroma and flavour being contributed to by Bramling Cross.

Thx to Tom Hendriksen for this bottle - Euro Swamp 02/2022. Hazy, amber color and a nice white head. Nose is malty, herbal, slightly yeasty with a nice hoppy finish. Easy drinking. Nice body for only 4.1 vol.

33 cl. bottle @ home, bought @ Slijterij Gérard, Best. Dutch brewery #466.
Clear golden with a white head. Flowery hoppy aroma with some light caramel. Sweet taste with a low bitter smooth body. Light oxidation but I think it's quite an old bottle so it's my own fault. Nice and unusual style-wise. Nice first impression of this young brewery.
