Brewed with a variety of kilned and and roasted specialty malts, Vespertine was fermented with a delicate Belgian yeast strain and a souring mixed culture, isolated from one of our foeders. Vespertine was then conditioned on cherry, black currant, and blackberry puree for one month. Vespertine is tart and complex, with underlying notes of dark fruit.

Poured from 473mL can (super full fill; abv listed as 5.5%). Dark brown with small light beige head. Toasted malt, oak, light tartness from black currant, cherry, and blackberry. Nicely balanced. Quite nice.

Muddy brown with a decent beige head. Baking spices and cherry. Soured cherry with some baking spice. Cinnamon, clove and Christmas sort of stuff. This might be great mulled.

On tap at the Alibi Room, pours a cloudy dark brown with a small white head. Aroma is full of pitted dark cherries, dark currants, and blackberry — very jammy and sour. Flavour is oaky, with lots of dark cherries, blackberry, and currant. Gently tart, with a very oaky, fruity finish. Very good.
