500ml bottle. Minimally milky, chestnut colour with ruby shimmer and average to huge, frothy, diminishing, minimally lacing, beige head. Sweet-ish, slightly toasty, dark malty aroma, notes of malt lozenge, some milk chocolate, caramel, whiffs of coffee. Taste is slightly watery, sweet and slightly toasty, dark malty, mildly bitter hoppy, diluted hints of malt lozenge, some caramel, a touch of milk chocolate. Watery texture, smooth and soft palate, medium, scattered, prickly carbonation. Nice malt selection, maybe a tad too sweet, sadly rather watery and a bit overcarbonated - could be really good with little adjustments.

Bottled 500ml. -from Leclerc Ljubljana, shared with hrabren. Dark amber coloured, medium sized beige head, sugary caramel nose. Sweet malty, caramel, discreet dried fruits and quite sugary with dry finish.

0.5 l bottle shared with Ogi, thanks. Dark amber, small tan head. Toasty, slightly fruity. Some caramel, some cardboard. Sweet, caramel. Toasty flavour. A bit harsh. Minimal hop character. Quite drinkable. Gets better in time, but still below average.

0,5 l bottle. Pours amber brown with small, quickly dissipating tan head. Aroma of malt, roasted malt, a hint of sour and a bit funk. Carbonation is on the light medium side. Flavor is medium sweet, roasted malt, a hint of caramel and dry fruits. Slick texture. Finish is bittersweet, caramel and short.

Bottle online from Beer Merchants. Label: Giesinger Dunkels Naturtrübes 5.3%. Pours a hazy light chestnut colour with a medium sized throthy beige head. Aromas of dark fruits, strawberries, sweet caramel and doughy bread. Taste has more dark fruits, berries, caramel, brown sugar with a touch of chocolate, nuts and roasted malts. Sweetish finish but not overly so. Thin to medium body with average carbonation. Very decent above average Dunkel.

Bottle. Moderate gusher (!). Brown with a fluffy beige head. Aroma of brown bread, some light roast and nuts. Light bodied. A little nuttier than suggested by the aroma with a drying finish that's as much roasty as bitter. Perhaps this brewery has improved in recent times, because it's the 5th of 5 I've rated higher than its RB average.

Süßes Karamalz trifft auf eine säuerliche Balsamiconote. Ab dem Mittelteil ist ein ordentlicher Schuss Kaffee erkennbar. Auch etwas Traubensaft findet sich jetzt. Viel, extrem feinperlige Kohlensäure gibt ein gewaltiges Volumen. Das Bier ist wirklich interessant und auch ganz gut komponiert, trifft aber nicht so ganz meinen persönlichen Geschmack. Dafür ist es einfach etwas zu scharf, zu säurebetont.
