keg at the hanging bat... Nov 2021.. dark black... no head... dark roast.. Light licorice.. dark chocolate roast malts nose... heavy roast.. dark dry chocolate Roast.. big licorice.. Light bitter

Appearance - 6 | Aroma - 7 | Flavor - 6.5 | Texture - 8 | Overall - 6.5
Tap at Craftwerk, Southend. Poured a clear, almost black colour with a thin, broken tan head. The aroma is roasty malt, liqourice and chocolate. The flavour is moderate liqourice bitter, light sweet, with a rich, roasty, nutty, light coffee, liqourice bitter palate and a lingering bitter finish. Medium bodied with soft carbonation.
