Homeland's eerste Double IPA, gebrouwen met de Nieuw-Zeelandse hoppen Moutere, Wai-ti, Motueka en Rakau. Kanepieper is een zwaar en bitter bier met aroma's van tropisch fruit, steenfruit en een hint van dennen. We brouwen hem een keer, dus wees erbij!

Blik 33cl thuis. Bitter, tropisch fruit, pine, hop (Moutere, Motueka, Wai-ti, Rakau), haver, malttonen, carameltonen, redelijk volle smaak. (26-11-2022). (4900ste).

Can 33cl. @home poured into a shaker. Clear copper colour, fair frothy off-white to beige head, gradually diminishing, fair lacing. Aroma sweet malts, lime, light mango and mangosteen, toffee, piney hops. Dry taste, medium bitter and light sweet, mangosteen, malty, resinous and earthy notes. Medium body, oily texture, soft carbonation, dry bitter and a bit sweet aftertaste, lingering earthy and spicy notes, can give a harsh impression but the underlying fruitiness levels that more or less, refreshing, really good.

Pours a clear dark amber colour and a steady off white head with fair retention. Aroma's: pretty much what you'd expect from a DIPA: hops, citrus, floral, malt, fruit. Retronasal it's sweetish, fruity, bitterish. Flavour is moderate bitter with hardly any sweetness. Medium bodied, good carbonation. Firm earthy bitter finish, almost harsh.
