Bottle at home. It pours clear medium brown with a decent foamy beige head. The aroma is earthy roast, rye bread, toasted nut, woody and some dried fruits. The taste is dry, earthy, toasted nut, wood, quite savoury feeling, rivita, brown bread and dried fruits with a drying finish. Medium body and moderate, foamy carbonation. Decent enough dunkel.

Bottle. Brown color. Roast and chocolate in the malty sweetish flavor. Soft maltaroma. Very tasty dunkel.

Bottle. Clear chestnut body with a thin beige head. Low carbonation. Faint lacing. Aroma of blackcurrant, raisins and wood. Flavour of plum, tea, toffee and a hint of treacle. Thin to medium body with a slick texture. Soft fizz. A tasty beer that smells richer than it tastes.

16th April 2018. Monthly Shrewsbury Beer Exchange in Chez Sophie. I brought this 500ml bottle; BB 9th May 2018, obtained from Beers of Europe. Clear dark amber body, cream coloured head. Caramel like aroma and lead in the taste. My sweet tooth taking to it straight away, a bit slicker/fuller body wise than a lot of Dunkel style biers I have had, liked it.

500ml bottle @ monthly tasting, Chez Sophie, April 18, courtesy of Jeremy. Thanks Jeremy. Pours a deep clear amber, creamy magnolia head. Aroma is light grainy brown bread, treacle. Taste is smooth grainy, nutty with dark treacle notes, brown bread, fairly light bodied, but easy-going with a nourishing feel.

500 ml bottle. Clear dark brown, medium head. Nuts, malts, a bit caramel, lemon, dark bread. Balanced taste, dry bitterness with a slight sweetness. Light to medium bodied, soft to lively carbonated, dry finish. Smooth and refreshing Dunkel.

Shared bottle, thanks to hauxe. Pours clear pale amber with an off-white head. Aroma and taste of dark bread, caramel, nuts, grains. Not bad.

From the bottle. Pours chestnut brown. Frothy head that lingers. Mild hazelnut, tea, caramel in the aroma. Mild sweet sour taste. Medium body. Pleasant.
