Old Nation Fritts Lager is a Helles style lager. The result of 100 years of German brewing tradition. Some styles focus on the hop, some on malt, some on yeast. Helles relies on perfect raw materials and technique which creates a harmonious interplay of all of those things. The goal is a balanced beer, fresh and clean.

Corn, barley malt, and hay aroma. Slightly hazy golden yellow with large white head. Mildly sweet corn, barley malt, and moderately bitter hay/grass flavor. Okay body.

Can from Tavour. Pours brassy gold with a large creamish white head. Aroma is grainy/bready with some floral notes. Med body or so. Flavor is grainy/bready with some pale stone fruit and floral aspects. Oh so slightly sweet, and more or less moderately bitter. I am surprised at how much I am enjoying this.

Can from Livonia Liquor. Pours a clear gold with a finger of white foam that dissipates. Bread and honey malt aromas. Good peppery notes on the palate, drying finish with slight lingering dried honey and bread crust. Lighter on the palate than most helles, but really nice complexity.
