"Wine is sunlight, held together by water..." or so said Galileo. For this release, we evoke this sentiment by co-fermenting Chardonnay grape juice with the wort of a sparkling golden ale. Matured briefly on oak, the result is sunshine in a glass.

Bottle from Livonia Liquor. Pours a clear honey gold with a finger of white foam that lingers. Nice Belgian yeast aromas with pear, fig and coriander standing out. More of the same on the palate with muscat and oak that sits quite nicely next to the pear and Belgian yeast notes. Warming alcohol on the finish but appropriate and not overly boozy. Well done.

Cloudy gold with a decent white head. Nice light white fruit notes and sweet bread. Sweet bready notes with some fruity white grape and a long finish. Just a touch of bitterness.
