Bottle at tasting, thanks Cuso. Malty aroma and taste, light caramel, medium bitter. Medium to full body, malty bitter finish with light alcohol notes. Ok.

Bottle from probably rosenbergh, many years ago. Brown color with small beige head. Aroma of malt, light oxidation, dried fruit. Sweet taste with malt, syrup, candies, dried apricots, honey, light oxidation. Alcohol is almost hidden. Nice.

Flaska från Åbo-färjan, 2016(?). Mörkbrun med gräddig beige krona. Torkad frukt, rostade toner, nötigt, toffee, mörk choklad, fikon, bränt socker.

500mL bottle, pours a dark mahogany with a small beige head. Nose brings out lots of dried dark fruits, especially plums, with some brown sugar, and some hoppy resins buried underneath. Flavour follows suit, with lots of brown sugar, caramel malts, dark fruits and resinous hops in very good cohesion. It's unusual to come across a barley wine as well-integrated on all these different levels as this one. Really impressive stuff.

Bottle @ home [thanks to Rosenbergh! Thanks Jan, you’re the best!]. Red-brown color, average sized light brown colored head. Smell and taste malts, slight smoke, dark fruits, slightly sweet, a sweetish hint of berries in the distance, a light bitter hint in the finish. Medium body and carbonation. Very interesting fruity bitter flavor that lingers after swallowing for quite some time. Nice!

Tummanruskea, punertava ja sameahko olut kohtalaisella, hyvin tiiviillä vaaleanbeigellä vaahdolla. Huumaavassa ja monimuotoisessa tuoksussa tuhtia maltaisuutta, kuivattua hedelmää, suklaata, vaniljaa ja lakritsia. Maku tumman maltainen, kermakaramellimaisen makea, tumman hedelmäinen ja jopa hieman suklainen ja lakritsinen. Loppupuolella mäntyistä ja pihkaista katkeruutta, joka johtaa pitkään hitaasti pehmenevään loppuliukuun. Alkoholi pysyy hyvin piilossa. Suutuntuma täyteläinen ja pehmeä, hiilihappoja vähäisesti. Todellinen laatuolut ja kevään 2015 käsityöläisoluiden ykkönen ainakin tähän mennessä (8/13 maistettuna).

500 ml bottle shared at the Hoopy Pub, Thessaloniki, thanks to my Secret Santa, VastActiv. Copper brown color with beige head. Malty and light hoppy aroma, light caramel, coffee, light dark dried fruits. Sweet and bitter taste like aroma light to medium body with soft carbonation.

Fonefan 280215. Dark brown colour with a beige head. Flavour is hop, roasted malt, alcohol, caramel, nuts, chocolate, bread. Nice beer.

Amber color with beige ring. Malty aroma, raisins, plums. Taste is sweet, malty, some more raisins and plums, some hops and booze in the finish. Oily mouthfeel. Feels heavy, easily drinkable.
