12 ounce bottle. Dark gold pour. Small white head. Fresh cut watermelon nose. Sweet watermelon flavor upfront. Dry malty finish. Refreshing, but not much character outside of the watermelon.

12 fl oz can bought at the brewery store in Portland. Pours out clear dark golden, small head. Melon sweetness on the nose. Taste starts surpringly more dry than sweet. Thin texture, melon and later lollipop, some bubblegum. Low pale grain to the end. Meh, not my cup of tea.

Yech. Tastes and smells like watermelon bubblegum fell into a glass of amber ale or something.

12 ounce bottle into pint glass, best before 2/12/2016. Pours slightly hazy deep golden yellow color with a 1-2 finger fairly dense white head with good retention, that reduces to a small cap that linger. Light spotty soapy lacing clings on the glass, with a good amount of streaming carbonation retaining the head. Aromas of big watermelon, strawberry, wheat, cracker, light honey, and light herbal hops. Okay aromas with big watermelon and light malt/hop notes; with decent strength. Taste of watermelon, strawberry, wheat, cracker, light honey, herbal, grass, and light pepper. Light herbal/spicy bitterness on the finish; with lingering notes of watermelon, strawberry, wheat, cracker, light honey, and herbal/grassy earthiness on the finish for a short bit. Good balance and solid robustness of watermelon, pale malt, and light earthy hop flavors; with good malt/bitterness balance and zero cloying flavors after the finish. Moderate dryness after the finish. Medium-high carbonation and light bodied; with a very smooth, crisp, and clean finish that is nice. Alcohol is very well hidden with zero warming present after the finish as expected of 4.4%. Overall this was a very solid fruit beer. All around good balance and solid robustness of watermelon, pale malt, and light earthy hop flavors; and very smooth and crisp to drink. A pleasantly enjoyable offering.

Bottle from Harvest Market, Bedford, NH. Aroma is fruity overall--yes watermelon but not exclusively so. Appearance is clear yellow with minimal head and no lacing. Taste is pleasant watermelon/fruit flavor--a measured amount, enough to have good flavor but not so much as to be overly sweet. Palate is light bodied with thin texture and soft carbonation. Overall, a nice tasting sweet refreshment that goes well in summer at a picnic or barbecue.

Mix of sweet real and artificial watermelon on the nose. Clear amber, headless. Much drier than expected, also more natural and less artificial. Watermelon rind, malt, bubble gum finish. Medium body, fizzy. Decent watermelon beer if you are into that sort of thing, which I’m not.

From a bottle smells great Looks like pale lager. Tis melon fer sure, a little artificial I guess. Yes, not like a sour sweet radler, more like a typical dull fruit beer that needs a little sugar. Smell and taste gets on yah after a while. Not real enjoyable.

12 ounce bottle from Beer Run, opened 5/30/14. Pours a hazy copper color with a medium sized frothy white head. Good head retention. Aroma of candied watermelon and a mild bit of malt. The taste is watermelon, fresh a bit but mostly candy-ish. Faint malts. Medium bodied, moderate carbonation, not very well balanced.
