Legend has it that the way to measure an object’s volume dawned on Archimedes of Syracuse while he bathed. In his excitement, the Greek mathematician leaped from the water, shouted “εὕρηκα!” and ran naked through the streets to share his discovery.

In our quest to develop a dry, crisp, and refreshing everyday beer, we found our own eureka moment in the humble grisette, a citrusy farmhouse ale once produced for miners in Belgium’s Hainaut province. Brewed with a four-grain blend, a mix of Saaz, Magnum, and Nelson Sauvin hops, fresh orange peel, and pink peppercorns, Eureka pays tribute to sun-kissed Syracuse, Sicily, home to our friends at Birrificio Alveria, where we brewed this summery ale.
