At the old Santa Rosa brewpub location. For 4% such a lively dark chocolate earthiness. Lovely.
I’ve hit a lot of breweries on this West Coast trip. I’d like to think I saved the best for last. And away we go…
Appearance - 8 | Aroma - 7 | Flavor - 7 | Texture - 8 | Overall - 7.5
On draft at the brewery. Pours a clear cola with a creamy nitro head. Toasty aroma. Flavors are sweet malts with some bitter coffee in the finish.

Draught at the brewery, small long lasting creamy head, opaque extremely dark brown color, aroma of chocolate cake and coffee, flavor of coffee with some metal and earth in the back and a charred hint, light bodied, Nice and sessionable.

On tap at the brewery. Pours dark brown black. Biscuit, caramel, roast, liquorice, plum. Medium body. Not a great second for my mega flight...

Draught @ Russian River Brewpub, Santa Rosa. Pours black with a brown head. Aroma of roasted malt, toasted bread, coffee. Flavor is light bitter, roast malt, bread, coffee. Thin to medium body, soft to average carbonation, dry finish. A little thin, but lots of flavor for the low ABV. 200718

Draft at the brewpub. Aroma of creamy chocolate and coffee. Taste has soft creamy chocolate, mocha coffee and a soft finish. Nice.

From tap at the brewery. Black color with beige brown head. Roasted malty aroma, bread, grainy, coffee, some chocolate notes. Light sweet and moderate to heavy bitter taste. Medium oily body with soft carbonation.

Draft at the source. Pours black with a tan head. Aroma of chocolate and roasted malts. Taste is chocolate, roasted malts, coffee notes. Dry finish. A little thin.
