Sampler at the brewpub in Santa Rosa. Brown color with beige ring. Spicy, nutty, earthy aroma. Taste is similar. Solid complexity and intensity. Very soft mouthfeel. Again: Well-brewed, but the classic Dubbel is just not exactly my style.

Rated from backlog. Draught @ the brewpub. Dark amber with a white head. Lightly yeasty aroma with caramel. The flavor has a lightly sweet caramel and bready crust malt profile, with light yeasty flavors and a spicy, hoppy, bitter finish.
