Farmhouse Noir is our version of the darker side of the Saison style. Fermented entirely in oak, Farmhouse Noir delicately balances light, chocolate notes and barnyard funk with a tight, vinous acidity. The use of flaked oats lends a silky mouthfeel, just as its deep chestnut hue belies a dry and refreshing finish.

Capped 750 from Capitol Beer in Sacramento, CA. Pours brown with a light tan head. Aroma is sort of BFM Bon Chien light. Med body at least. Flavor is BFM Bon Chien sort of 3/4. This is amazing. California meets Switzerland. What a great SR/B ale. Yummy!

On tap at the brewery. Cherry funk aroma, with a little bit of chalkboard dry roasted malts. Taste is more cherries, some roasted malt, nice sourness, dry finish. A very nice sour dark Saison!
