Tap at Hovels Brauhaus, 28/04/13. Chestnut brown with a medium beige head. Nose is malt, light toffee, fruits, on the thin side. Taste comprises brown sugars, toffee, dark fruits, more depth than the aroma. Medium bodied, fine carbonation, smooth on the palate. Ok stuff.

Nice medium brown body with airy beige head. Aroma is light but taste comes on a little stronger. Taste of Roast grains and nuts. Lingering aftertaste is nice, but overall weight feels slightly watery. Decent altbier.

Whole Foods, Bowery 33cl ($2): Pours a medium amber with a whitish head. Aroma is mostly light caramel malt. Taste is slightly sweet and mostly just malty. Some nice underlying hoppiness. Refreshing. Not the best out there though.

Flip-top half-litre bottle: best before Apr 2013, poured into three stemmed Pilsner glasses @ home during a random tasting evening on 23 Nov 2012. Lovely looking beer: bright amber, clear and healthy, on top a snow white crown. Malty nose: caramel being the main aroma. That caramel front carries on into the taste and although not really a sweet brew it certainly has a maltier flavour than a hop one. Actually the beer is well balanced because it has a crisp, sharp hop feel within the maltiness from start to finish. I used to drink this on a regular basis years ago: I still like it.

Aroma: The nose is malty, with some caramel, spice, and a little bit of bread
Appearance: This one pours a reddish color with an inch or two of head
Flavor: The taste, like the nose has some caramel, other malts and a little bit of bitterness
Palate: The body is light-medium, with a decent mouthfeel, and an average carbonation
Overall Impression: I thought this was an alright beer, but nothing special. Though I found it to be pretty drinkable, and it had some decent components, it was not really a favorite for me.

On tap at Epcot. Pours brown with a small, tan head. The aroma is caramel, earth, and a little toasted malts. The flavor is sweet, a little spicy, and a very low hop bitterness. The palate is medium, sticky, and clingy. Overall, this is a mediocre, malty, and bland beer. Not bad, but nothing special.
