Pours clear dark brown with a finger of light tan head. Aroma of toffee, vanilla, caramel, light bread, light banana, some basement aromas. Taste is big, bold butterscotch burnt butter sweet, long sweet finish. Body is rich and creamy although with very rich carbonation, which kind of pulls the entire package apart.

Bottled. Hazy mahogany colour. Heavy caramel aroma. Sweet with full body. Sticky, heavy butterscotch and caramel, sweet and warming with fairly soft mouthfeel. Oversized, but still not aggressive. Should improve with further aging.

Bottle. Clear deep amber color, small white head. Aroma of caramel syrup. Taste is licorice and creme brullee. Not bad.

Bottle. Creamy off-white mostly lasting head. Dark amber colour. Moderate malty and light hoppy aroma. Moderate bitter flavor. Caramelic notes. Moderate bitter flavor. Average nice finish. Creamy palate.

Bottle. Huge head with good duration. Color is dark amber. Aroma and taste are raisin, apricot, plum, caramel,malt and hops. Nice and warming.

Bottle at Cafe Buitenlust, Oirschot. Shared with Dutchdrebus. Dark red / browm color, small off-white head. Smell wood, not much more. Taste chocolate, roastyness and sweetness. Bit too sweet in my opinion, but still nice. Medium to high carbo, medium to full body.

Dark brown with some redness, no head. Smells vert sweet, oak, too strong. Tastes chocolate, oak, caramel. Full body, medium body.

Sampled @ SBWF on September 29. Pours a cloudy chestnut colour with a small white head. Smell is sweet with sundried fruits and and alcohol that tickles your nose. Taste is malty and sweet with prunes and some caramel. It also has a light bitterness to it which is quite nice. A great barley wine!

Wicker, grain, subtle peanut hulls, and overripe orange nose. clear orange, medium head. a tad swee, overripe orange the predominate flavor with peanut skins toward the end. Finishes more bitter. a little hot on the back ewnd, but it’s a barleywine. Rustic and dirty.

Bottle from Systembolaget (bought in Västerås in Febrary 2011). Pours red with a beige head. Oily and very heavy brew. Fruity and some hops. Nice mix between US and UK BW styles.

Bottle. Probably one of the best beers I’ve tried from Sweden. It’s quite heavy, without getting too aggressive and undrinkable. Well balanced. It has got american aswell as english influences. Raisin, dark fruit, chocolate, slightly vinous. Soft and oily texture.
