330ml bottle. Jet black colour with average to huge, thick, creamy, moderately lasting and lacing, dark beige to tan head. Dark malty aroma with peat and leather aspects, some piney hop on top. Taste is bitter, roasty dark malty and bitter, piney hoppy, notes of dark chocolate, peat and leather; lingering, bitter finish. Oily-watery texture, smooth and dry, greasy palate, medium, soft, mildly prickly carbonation. Some non-catchy, arduous flavours, therefore a bit mono-lateral overall; too many heavy, earthy, irksome flavours, nothing alleviating to increase drinkability - therefore almost more Impy Stout than BIPA character.

Dark brown with thin head. Lots of dark malts and a primarily piney hop bitterness. Not really peaty but does feel quite boozy.

Bottle at home. Opaque dark brown to black color, decent to medium sized beige head. Aroma and flavor are malts, light peat, dark malts, maybe hops in the distance but I think it's more wishful thinking than actually there. Still, this is quite well made I'd say. Not bad at all.

33 cl. bottle @ home, bought @ Burg Bieren, Ermelo. Dutch brewery #495.
Black with a tan head. Wonderful smoky aroma with American and European noble hops. Sweet taste with a bitter finish. Crazy combination of American and European noble hops and smoked malts but it really works. Wonderful BIPA.
