Bottle with cork 0,75ltr: Clear brown/red colored brew with an dry bitter taste with some sweetness. Hints of caramel, vanilla, dried fruits and very well hidden but subtle some Bourbon. Bought on discount at the local AH XL, Leiden.

From tap at a harbour restaurant in Grou with Terje and Robert 06.07.23. Clear dark red copper. Beige head and lacing. Fine aroma and tast of sweet malt, caramel, dates, figs and dried berries.

Bottle from Beerwulf. Pours a slightly murky mahogany colour with a tiny beige head. Aromas of dark fruits and hints of vanilla and leather. Taste is more dark fruits, vanilla, leather and hints of caramel, nuts, roasted malts and brown sugar. Some sweet notes on the finish. Medium bodied and a fairly smooth slightly sticky mouthfeel. Not bad.

2018 corked bottle. Brown color. Soft roast, vanilla and caramel in the aroma. Malty sweet flavor with caramel and vanilla. Sticky. I can’t pick up much oak and bourbon.

75 cl. bottle shared with Brent @ home, bought @ Albert Heijn Tiel. Clear reddish brown with an off-white head. Sweet raisin aroma with some bourbon and some malt caramel. Sweet taste with quite some maturity and depth to it. Finish is smooth. Great bock!

Bottle. Brown pour. Aroma of sweet raisin, caramel and bourbon. Taste has a surprising amount of bourbon, caramel, vanilla, raisin, caramelised malt and ripe fruit. Quite nice, did not expect that.

Bottle shared at John’s back tasting. Clear light amber with small beige head. Cardboard, light coffee, Haagse hopjes, light herbal, brown sugar, light artificial sweetener. Solid sweet and just medium bitter. Solid medium bodied.

Bottle at the Jim Green Returns tasting, Zaandam. Poured a clear copper colour with little life. The aroma is malt, red berry fruits. The flavour is moderate sweet with a crisp fresh, toffee malt, mineral, light metallic hop. Medium bodied with average carbonation.
