Bottle, from trade with Cunningham. A huge, creamy, dark beige head forms over a clear looking black body. Curtains. The aroma is burnt and roasted, with some bonfire and dark dried fruits. A touch of licorice and milk chocolate shows up after the beer warms up slightly. It's quite effervescent on the palate, medium to full-bodied and mostly on the dry side. Roasted malts, charcoal, burnt malt notes, some coffee and prunes, along with cocoa and salty licorice in the flavor. Quite lasting finish. Way too heavy on the carbonation this one, else it's a decent brew indeed. 220323

330ml bottle, # 21-16-1, many thanks to Cunnningham for rhis one. Shared with lmojoh and Finn at an advent session. Huge, rocky white head to a deep dark brown body, dotted spots on the glass. Moderate smell of mildly roasted dough, mid-sweet. Malt-forward taste, hints of caramel and dough. Mid-dry roasted ending, soft carbonated. just okay. (Tromsø 16.12.2021).
